ジョージ・クチャー（1942年8月31日 - 2011年9月6日）と彼の双子の兄マイクは、1950年代にティーンエイジャーとして映画を制作し始め、8mmフィルムを武器にしました。彼らは、欲望と苦悩の過剰なストーリーで地元のアマチュア映画制作クラブを驚かせ、1960年代にはニューヨークのアンダーグラウンドシーンのスターとなり、ジョナス・メカスやジャック・スミスと親交を深めました。常にわずかな予算と非専門の俳優という制約の中で制作を行い、クチャー兄弟のインスピレーションは古典的なハリウッドのメロドラマにあります。彼らの安価に制作された作品は、資金不足に妨げられることなく、貧困の枷の中で花開きました...
