経歴・プロフィール
マーヴィン・イアン・ガイ・ハミルトン（1922年9月16日 - 2016年4月20日）は、イギリスの映画監督である。ハミルトンはフランス・パリで、イギリス人の両親のもとに生まれた。ナチス占領下のフランスに留まり、フランス抵抗運動に参加した。戦後、彼はキャロル・リードの助手として『堕ちた偶像』（1948年）や『第三の男』（1949年）などの映画に携わった後、1952年に初の監督作品『ザ・リンガー』で監督業に転身した。1950年代から1980年代にかけて、イアン・フレミングの小説に基づくジェームズ・ボンドシリーズの4作品を含む22本の映画を制作した。彼は一時、女優のナオミ・チャンスと結婚していた。
