ジェームズ・バートン（1890年11月1日 - 1962年2月19日）は、アメリカのバーレスク芸人であり、映画やテレビのキャラクター俳優でした。 ニュージャージー州グロスターシティの演劇一家に生まれたバートンは、1898年にミンストレルショーやバーレスクハウスでのパフォーマンスを始めました。アフリカ系アメリカ人のパフォーマーと共に働いた経験から、彼はアメリカで最初のジャズダンサーの一人となりました。南部や中西部のレパートリーカンパニーでの活動を経て、1919年のミュージカルレビュー『ザ・パッシング・ショー』でブロードウェイデビューを果たし、当初はエド・ウィンのために用意された役を演じました。...
