アンジェラ・デイヴィスは、アメリカの政治活動家、学者、著者です。彼女は1960年代にアメリカ共産党のリーダーとして著名なカウンターカルチャー活動家および急進派として台頭し、公民権運動への関与を通じてブラックパンサー党との密接な関係を築きました。彼女の関心は囚人の権利にあり、刑務所産業複合体を廃止するために活動する組織「クリティカル・レジスタンス」を共同設立しました。彼女はカリフォルニア大学サンタクルーズ校の意識の歴史学科の教授（現在は退職）であり、大学のフェミニスト研究学科の元ディレクターでもあります。
