経歴・プロフィール
ロビンズはロンドンで生まれ、銀行員として働いていたが、ハートフォードシャーのヒッチンでアマチュアの劇に出演した後、俳優に転身した。ロビンズは『ロール・オン・ブルーミン・デス』でコックニーの兵士としてテレビデビューを果たした。主にコメディ俳優として知られ、人気シットコム『オン・ザ・バス』(1969–73)では、オリーブ（アナ・カレン）の皮肉たっぷりの夫アーサー・ラッジの役で特に記憶されている。ロビンズとカレンは、バスの車庫でのレグ・ヴァーニーのコメディ・キャペーズに対するサブコメディストーリーを提供した。ロビンズはシリーズの映画スピンオフ『オン・ザ・バス』『バスの反乱』『バスの休日』にも出演した...
