経歴・プロフィール
エリッサ・ダウリングは早くからパフォーマンスへの欲望を抱き、8歳の時にはニューヨークシティバレエ団の「くるみ割り人形」で踊っていました。11歳の時には即興劇団とツアーをするよう招待され、アドリブの技術を身につけました。13歳には「リトルショップ・オブ・ホラーズ」などの舞台作品に出演し、テレビデビューを果たしました。その際には「ロッキー・ホラー・ショー」のオープニングテーマを歌う悪名高い唇として登場しました。舞台からスクリーンへの移行はエリッサにとって成功を収め、彼女の広範な演技力はトランスヴェスタイトのバーテンダー、弁護士、連続殺人犯、さらにはニューヨークのゴシック・ドミナトリックスなど、ユニ...
