デビッド・ハウエル・エヴァンス（1961年8月8日生まれ）、通称ザ・エッジ（または単にエッジ）は、アイルランドのミュージシャンであり、作曲家で、ロックバンドU2のリードギタリスト、キーボード奏者、バックボーカルとして最もよく知られています。グループの創設以来のメンバーであり、バンドと共に14枚のスタジオアルバムと1枚のソロアルバムを録音しています。ギタリストとして、エッジはミニマリスティックでテクスチャーのある演奏スタイルを作り上げました。リズミックディレイエフェクトの使用により、U2の音楽の特徴となる独特のサウンドを生み出しています。
