経歴・プロフィール
シド・ヴィシャス（本名：ジョン・サイモン・リッチー）は、イギリスのミュージシャンでボーカリストでした。彼は、セックス・ピストルズというパンクロックバンドのメンバーとして名声を得ました。彼は、グレン・マトロックの後任としてグループに加わり、マトロックは他のメンバーからの支持を失っていました。アメリカの expatriate であるクリッシー・ハインドは、プレテンダーズを結成する前に、リッチーを偽装結婚に誘ってイギリスでの労働許可証を取得しようとしました。ジョン・ライドンは、彼のペットのハムスター、シドにちなんでリッチーに「シド・ヴィシャス」というニックネームを付けました。
