オハイオ州クリーブランドで生まれたカドニーは、1960年代にミュージカル「ショー・ボート」の主役を演じるためにメキシコに来て、そのまま滞在することになりました。彼は映画やテレノベラで安定した仕事を見つけ、主に権威的なキャラクターや他の「グリンゴ」悪役としてタイプキャストされることが多かったです。また、時折ハリウッド映画にも出演しました。彼は2021年7月5日に交通事故による心臓発作で亡くなりました。
