アルベルト・モリンは1902年12月26日にプエルトリコのサンフアンでサルバドール・R・ロペスとして生まれました。彼は『シエラ・トリデ』(1970)、『リオ・グランデ』(1950)、『ミラグロ』(1988)での作品で知られています。1989年4月7日にアメリカ・カリフォルニア州バーバンクで亡くなりました。 第二次世界大戦中はOSSの将校であり、7か国語を流暢に話しました。この期間中、彼は監督のジョン・フォードと出会いました。フォードは海軍の将校で、OSSでも働いていました。戦後、フォードはモリンを多くの映画に起用しました。
