経歴・プロフィール
フレズノ、カリフォルニア州で生まれたフランク・トーマスは、スタンフォード大学に通い、そこでシータ・デルタ・カイのメンバーとなり、オリー・ジョンストンと共にキャンパスのユーモア雑誌『スタンフォード・チャパラル』で活動しました。スタンフォードを卒業後、彼はシュワイナード美術学院に通い、その後1934年9月24日にウォルト・ディズニー・カンパニーに224番目の従業員として入社しました。そこで彼は数十本の長編映画や短編映画をアニメーションし、またディキシーランドバンド「ファイヤーハウス・ファイブ・プラス・ツー」のメンバーとしてピアノを演奏しました。
