マーヴィン・ニール・サイモン（1927年7月4日 - 2018年8月26日）は、アメリカの劇作家、脚本家、著者です。彼は30以上の戯曲とほぼ同数の映画脚本を執筆し、そのほとんどは彼の戯曲の映画化です。彼はトニー賞を3回受賞し、ゴールデングローブ賞を受賞、さらに4回のアカデミー賞と4回のプライムタイム・エミー賞にノミネートされました。1975年には特別トニー賞、1995年にはケネディセンター名誉賞、2006年にはマーク・トウェイン賞を受賞しました。 サイモンは大恐慌の時代にニューヨーク市で育ちました。両親の経済的な困難は彼らの結婚に影響を与え、彼にとっては主に不幸で不安定な子供時代となりました...
