ハーバート・ノーマン・シュワルツコフ・ジュニア KCB（1934年8月22日 - 2012年12月27日）は、アメリカ合衆国陸軍の将軍でした。アメリカ中央軍の指揮官として、彼は湾岸戦争においてバアス党イラクに対するすべての連合軍を指揮しました。 ニュージャージー州トレントンで生まれたシュワルツコフは、アメリカ合衆国とその後イランで育ちました。彼はアメリカ陸軍士官学校に入学し、1956年にアメリカ陸軍の少尉に任官されました。初期の訓練プログラムを経て、シュワルツコフは士官学校の教員としての任務を中断し、ベトナム戦争に従事しました。最初は南ベトナム軍の顧問として、その後大隊指揮官として活動しまし...
