ダイアモンドはニューヨーク市の中流階級のユダヤ人家庭に生まれました。彼はニューヨーク州ポキプシーにあるバッサー大学に6ヶ月間通いました。1979年、ダイアモンドはバンド「ザ・ヤング・アボリジニーズ」を共同設立しました。1981年、バンドの友人でフォロワーであるアダム・ヤウク（MCA）がベースプレイヤーとして参加し、当時のギタリストであるジョン・ベリーの提案により、バンド名をビースティ・ボーイズに変更しました。1983年までにアダム・ホロヴィッツ（アド・ロック）が加入し、彼らのサウンドはパンクからヒップホップへとシフトし始めました。1992年、マイク・Dはビースティ・ボーイズの現在は解散したレコ...
