アラン・ベネット（1934年5月9日生まれ）は、イギリスの劇作家、脚本家、著者です。リーズで生まれ、オックスフォード大学で歴史を学び、オックスフォード・レビューで演技をしました。彼は数年間大学で中世史を教え、研究を続けました。1960年のエディンバラフェスティバルでの風刺レビュー「ビヨンド・ザ・フリンジ」でダドリー・ムーア、ジョナサン・ミラー、ピーター・クックと共に作家およびパフォーマーとしてのコラボレーションにより、瞬く間に名声を得ました。彼は学問の道を捨て、フルタイムで執筆に専念することになり、彼の最初の舞台劇「フォーティ・イヤーズ・オン」は1968年に上演されました。 彼の作品には、「...
