ジョニー・ベガスは、セントヘレンズ出身の俳優、スタンドアップコメディアン、作家、監督であるマイケル・ペニングトンのステージネームです。彼は、BBC3のシットコム『アイディアル』でのモズ役や、ITVのシットコム『ベニドルム』のいくつかのシリーズでのオラクル役で最もよく知られています。最近では、ロイ・クラークの『スティル・オープン・オール・アワーズ』でデイヴィッド・ジェイソンと共演し、不運なエリックを演じました。2018年には、新しいBBCのシットコム『ホーム・フロム・ホーム』で主役を務めました。
