ピーター・シーガー（1919年5月3日 - 2014年1月27日）は、アメリカのフォークシンガーであり社会活動家でした。1940年代には全国的なラジオ番組に頻繁に登場し、1950年代初頭にはウィーバーズのメンバーとしてヒット曲を連発しました。特に、リード・ベリーの「グッドナイト・アイリーン」の録音は1950年に13週間チャートの首位を獲得しました。ウィーバーズのメンバーはマッカーシー時代にブラックリストに載せられました。1960年代には、国際的な軍縮、民権、カウンターカルチャー、労働者の権利、環境問題を支持する抗議音楽の著名なシンガーとして公の場に再登場しました。
