アンドリュー・リー・ポッツはリーズパフォーミングアーツスクールに通い、ミュージカルシアターでキャリアをスタートさせました。ポッツは、ITVのSF番組『プライミーバル』での風変わりな学生コナー・テンプル役で最も知られており、実生活のフィアンセであるハンナ・スピアリットと共演しています。第2シリーズでは、ポッツは「スルー・ジ・アノマリー」というメイキングドキュメンタリーを制作・監督し、シリーズのDVDに収録されました。
