ウィリアム・ヘンリー・プラット（1887年11月23日 - 1969年2月2日）、通称ボリス・カーロフは、イギリス生まれの俳優で、1909年にカナダに移住しました。カーロフはホラー映画での役柄や、『フランケンシュタイン』（1931年）、『フランケンシュタインの花嫁』（1935年）、『フランケンシュタインの息子』（1939年）でのフランケンシュタインの怪物の演技で最もよく知られています。『フランケンシュタイン』の後、彼の人気は非常に高く、一時期「カーロフ」または「不気味なカーロフ」として単独で宣伝されていました。彼の最もよく知られたホラー以外の役は、ドクター・スースの『グリンチがクリスマスを盗ん...
