チータ・リベラは、アメリカの女優、歌手、ダンサーであり、ミュージカルシアターのアイコンとなりました。ドルレス・コンチータ・フィゲロア・デル・リベロとして生まれ、彼女は『ザ・リンク』（1984年）と『スパイダーウーマンのキス』（1993年）でミュージカルの主演女優賞として2回トニー賞を受賞しました。リベラは、ブロードウェイのオリジナルプロダクション『ウエスト・サイド・ストーリー』でアニータ役を演じたことでスターの地位を確立し、その役をロンドンでも再演しました。
