彼女がわずか3歳の時、1911年に最初の映画『ブラザー・ボブの赤ちゃん』に出演しました。1912年には11本の映画に出演し、1913年にはその数が22本に増えました。6歳の時、彼女は前歯2本を失い、新しい歯が生えるまで「引退」しましたが、結局戻ることはありませんでした。彼女は103本のクレジットを持ち、ニューヨーク市にあった映画スタジオ・タンハウザーにちなんで「タンハウザー・キッドレット」という称号を得ました。彼女の父親は、スタジオでVistaムービングピクチャーレコーダーを完成させた専門のメカニックであり電気技師のジェラルド・バッジリーでした。
