経歴・プロフィール
ロバート・アップシャー・ウッドワード（1943年3月26日生まれ）は、アメリカの調査ジャーナリストです。1971年にワシントン・ポストで記者として働き始め、現在は副編集長の職に就いています。 1972年、若き記者としてワシントン・ポストに在籍していたウッドワードはカール・バーンスタインと組み、二人はウォーターゲート事件に関する多くの初期のニュース報道を行いました。これらのスキャンダルは数多くの政府調査を引き起こし、最終的にはリチャード・ニクソン大統領の辞任につながりました。ウッドワードとバーンスタインの仕事は、長年のジャーナリズムの人物ジーン・ロバーツによって「おそらく史上最も偉大な報道努力...
