ルシール・グリーソンは1888年2月6日にアメリカ合衆国カリフォルニア州パサデナでルシール・ウェブスターとして生まれました。彼女は『ザ・クロック』（1945年）、『恐れを知らぬ女』（1934年）、『彼女は軍にいる』（1942年）での作品で知られています。彼女はジェームズ・グリーソンと結婚していました。1947年5月18日にカリフォルニア州ブレントウッドで亡くなりました。 彼女はスクリーン・アクターズ・ギルド（SAG）の初代財務官でした。彼女はオールデン・ゲイと共にSAGの21人の創設メンバーの中で唯一の女性の一人でした。
