ジョン・ベントレーは1916年12月2日にイギリスのバーミンガム、スパークヒルで生まれました。彼は俳優であり、『ポール・テンペルを呼んで』（1948年）、『ファイナル・アポイントメント』（1954年）、『サルート・ザ・トフ』（1952年）で知られています。彼はパトリシア・スミスと結婚していました。2009年8月13日にイギリスのウェスト・サセックス州ペットワースで亡くなりました。
