ドロシー・アリソンはオーストラリアの舞台、映画、テレビ女優でした。彼女は『見えざる悪』（1971年）、『修道女の物語』（1959年）、『暗闇の叫び』（1988年）で知られていました。アリソンは1949年から秘書として働いた後、ほとんどのプロフェッショナルな人生をイギリスのロンドンで過ごしました。1980年にミニシリーズ『アリスの町』（1981年）のためにオーストラリアに戻り、1980年代の残りの期間をそこで過ごしました。彼女はレスリー・リンダーと結婚していました。1992年、ロンドンで66歳で亡くなりました。
