経歴・プロフィール
本名はJeffrey Leon Bridges。両親も兄も俳優の芸能一家に生まれ、幼少期には父ロイド・ブリッジス主演のＴＶシリーズ「潜水王マイク・ネルソン」にゲスト出演を果たす。ユニヴァーシティー・ハイスクール卒業後ニューヨークにて演技を学び、１９７０年「The Yin and the Yang of Mr. Go」（日本未公開）で本格的に映画デビュー。以降、「ラスト・ショー」や「フィッシャー・キング」、「ビッグ・リボウスキ」、「アイアンマン」など、アクション、ドラマからコメディまでその演技の幅を広げ、年齢を重ねるほどに円熟味を増している。これまで何度もオスカー候補に挙がるもののまだ受賞経験が...
