経歴・プロフィール
コーンウォール州レドラスで、弁護士のジェラルドとその妻ジャンヌ（旧姓ヴォラー）の間に生まれたピーターは、7人兄弟の3番目でした。父親はピーターが若い頃に亡くなり、家族はロンドン南部のブリクストンに移り、その後サリーに引っ越しました。この期間中、彼はスカウト協会のギャングショーの舞台制作で演技の才能を早くから示し、ドナルド・サザーランドと共演した『大いなる遺産』のピップを含む、いくつかのレパートリー劇場での役を得ることになりました。
