経歴・プロフィール
ザヒ・ハワス（アラビア語: زاهي حواس; 1947年5月28日生まれ）は、エジプトの考古学者であり、エジプト学者、元古代遺物担当大臣です。彼はナイル・デルタ、西部砂漠、上ナイル渓谷の考古学的遺跡でも働いてきました。 ハワスは国際的に広く知られており、アメリカのリアリティテレビ番組「チェイシング・マミーズ」の主題にもなりました。彼の見解やビジネスベンチャー、ムバラク政権との関係は物議を醸しています。エジプト博物館でのギフトショップ契約の授与や古代遺物の密輸に関連して、彼は懲役刑を宣告されましたが、その後、刑は解除されました。
