経歴・プロフィール
西バージニア州チャールストンでメアリー・ジェーン・ヘイズとして生まれた彼女は、1948年にカルビン・クーリッジ高校を卒業しました。ヘイズはミス・コロンビア特別区のタイトルを獲得し、1949年のミス・アメリカ・ページェントでD.C.を代表しました。競技には勝てなかったものの、地元のテレビで働く機会を得て、1954年にハリウッドに移りユニバーサル・ピクチャーズで働くことになりました。アリソン・ヘイズという名前を名乗り、ユニバーサルで数年間いくつかの映画に小さな役で出演しました。1955年、彼女は2作目の映画『SIGN OF THE PAGAN』の撮影中に受けた怪我についてスタジオに訴訟を起こしまし...
