ソフィア・タカルはアメリカの女優、作家、監督であり、独立系映画『空のすべての光』、『サポーティング・キャラクターズ』、および『7月の屋根の上のガビ』などでの仕事で最もよく知られています。フィルムメーカー・マガジンは2011年にタカルを「映画の新しい25人の顔」の一人に選出しました。彼女は1974年のホラー映画『ブラック・クリスマス』の2019年リメイクを監督し、共同脚本を務めました。
