ラルフ・ベイツ（1940年2月12日 - 1991年3月27日）は、イギリスの映画およびテレビ俳優で、英国のシットコム『ディア・ジョン』での役割や、ハマー・ホラーの後期における最も知られた俳優の一人として知られています。 ベイツはイギリスのブリストルでフランス系の家系に生まれ（彼はフランスの科学者ルイ・パストゥールの大甥にあたる）、ダブリンのトリニティ・カレッジで教育を受けました。そこでフランス語を学び、イェール演劇学校への奨学金を獲得しました。コースを修了した後、ベイツはアイルランドに戻り、1963年にダブリンのゲート・シアターでショーの『あなたにはわからない』で舞台デビューを果たしました...
