アイルランド系とチェロキー系の混血であるハイパティア・リーは、幼い頃から多才なパフォーマーでした。ダンサー、女優、振付師、ミュージシャン、歌手としての才能を示し、高校時代にはいくつかのミュージカルに出演しました。1983年にアダルトフィルム業界に入ったハイパティアは、「ポルノの黄金時代」に活動し、彼女自身が述べたように、「...私たちはセックスが含まれている本物の映画を作っていました。」
